Welcome to the March edition of North America Dive News.
As spring approaches, the prospects of the dive business loom like emerging plants that might eventually become a bountiful harvest but now lay dormant under a layer of ice and snow. After the snow melts, our industry awakens and shakes off the winters slumber. Wow, what a winter!
As we head into spring, we also head into show season. At the shows we will be promoting our -Try Before You Buy promotion. We are offering a free 3-month trial subscription to every reader. Sorry, this just applies to the online version – if you want a print copy you will need to come by our booth at the show or go to one of our dive shop members – that is the ONLY place you can get one.
We deeply value our print circulation and do not want our print readers to think we are going online only. We are not. We will continue to print and mail the magazine (North America Dive News) to every reader willing to pay for it. We are simply reaching out and expanding our readership and value (24/7). Our readers can now choose to read us whenever and however, they or you , want it. The benefits are enormous. The online edition is fantastic and you simply must try it to see just how good it is.
With the digital edition, you can read it on your iPad, Kindle, Nook, tablet or PC. We use a widget that utilizes the cloud as its app, allowing great cross platform connectivity. Try it and see. You can flip the pages, zoom in on the pictures, watch the videos, all within the magazine. If you want more content, just click and follow it for more… You can’t do that with print.
Getting our online edition is quick and easy. We only need your name and email address to get you started. From there, we will send you an email to “activate” your account. At that point we will need your full name, address, phone, email - everything except your credit card info – we will ask for that later, if you decide to subscribe. The reason we need your information is so we can verify who you are, and makes sure that you are only put into our system one time. (We only use your information in-house and will not sell it.)
As the recession continues, we understand people’s reluctance to part with their hard earned and much needed discretionary dollars. We feel it too and want people to know we are committed to value first. You can read the magazine online over the next few months, trying us out. When your trial subscription expires (don’t worry, we will remind you), you can decide whether to subscribe or not. We aim to please and earn your business. Until then, accept our hospitality and enjoy the magazine.
Happy diving,
Rick
